According to Wikipedia<\/a>, the Esplanade is \u201ca waterfront location just north of the mouth of the Singapore River in downtown Singapore.\u201d There is a multitude of dining and entertainment options in the Esplanade. This area is a tourist hot spot because of the magnificent views of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Singapore skyline.<\/p>\n

I was hanging around the Golden Mile Food Center and took a public bus down Nicoll Highway to the Esplanade in downtown Singapore.<\/p>\n

I got off the bus at Esplanade Park\u00a0which is a great place\u00a0to hang out, have a picnic, and admire the wonders of Singapore.<\/p>\n

There are several entertainment options such as the Esplanade \u2013 Theatres on the Bay and Colours by the Bay.<\/p>\n

From the Theaters on the Bay location, you can take pictures of the gorgeous Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the ArtScience museum.<\/p>\n

You can walk down the esplanade towards the Singapore Flyer which is like London\u2019s \u201cThe Eye\u201d and Las Vegas\u2019 \u201cThe Linq\u201d.<\/p>\n

You can also take breathtaking pictures of the Singapore skyline from this location.<\/p>\n

If you continue walking down the Esplanade towards the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, you will first enter through the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands where you can find upscale shopping and fine dining.<\/p>\n

There is even a casino inside the Marina Bay Sands complex, but beware, the limits are quite high. I was lucky enough to win money from a slot machine! Don’t forget to check out Gardens by the Bay in this same complex.<\/p>\n
