Orchard Road is the main retail hub of Singapore and is considered a tourist attraction. If you feel the need to shop, there are about 15 shopping areas which include mega malls, gallerias, and plazas. You will find very few street vendors on Orchard Road, but haggling is permitted in the smaller plazas. If you’re looking for food, you will find a food court inside every mall on Orchard Road.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very easy to get to Orchard Road via Singapore\u2019s mass rapid transit which is simply called the Orchard Road MRT Station. I was in Tiong Bahru<\/a> and took a double decker public bus to Orchard Road.<\/p>\n

Orchard Road has mega malls such as Scott\u2019s Square, ION Orchard, Isetan, and Wheelock Place.<\/p>\n

The bargain basement shopping on Orchard Road consists of Plazas such as Royal Plaza on Scotts and the Far East Plaza.<\/p>\n

I like the Far East Shopping Center and there are plenty of mom and pop shops where you can find a good deal. Don\u2019t overlook the basement as there are more shops underneath and don\u2019t get lost in the labyrinth.<\/p>\n
