I decided not to head into the city during my short six hour layover in Lima partly because the flight arrived late and I was going to be cutting it close. Plus, I didn\u2019t want to deal with the taxi cab mafia<\/a> at Lima International Airport. Instead, I hung out at the crowded SUMAQ lounge<\/a> and VIP Club Lounge<\/a> at LIM where the Wi-Fi was atrociously slow. I was happy that I was upgraded to Business Class on Lima to Buenos Aires (LIM-EZE) because of my Oneworld Emerald\u00a0status. LAN Airlines tends to upgrade oneworld elites to Business Class if their coach cabin is oversold and I got lucky with an operational upgrade (op-up).<\/p>\n

Business Class on the Boeing 767-300 (763) was in a 2-2-2 configuration.<\/p>\n

I selected the middle seat in Business Class because of the easy access to the aisle without climbing over someone or having someone climbing over me to get out of their seat.<\/p>\n

I love the big in-flight entertainment TV screen.<\/p>\n

The seat is able to adjust into a completely lie-flat bed using the in-seat touch controls.<\/p>\n

The flight attendant handed out a Premium Business LAN amenity kit.<\/p>\n

The flight attendant also served orange juice with nuts during pre-departure. I thought the nuts were a nice touch since I usually see them after the plane has taken off.<\/p>\n

After the flight reached cruising altitude, the flight attendant handed me a hot wet towel.<\/p>\n

Lunch was served and I had the steak with potatoes, grilled vegetables, side salad with balsamic vinegar, and panna cotta for dessert.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, I took the exact same flight from Lima to Buenos Aires<\/a>\u00a0and I mentioned that the breakfast was not filling at all. On this lunch flight, the meal was excellent\u00a0and filled me up to the point where I had a food coma. In terms of distance, this flight felt like a transcon from Los Angeles to New York. I slept after the meal service, but the service on LAN was great, quick, and efficient.<\/p>\n
