Previously I\u2019ve written about the San Telmo neighborhood<\/a> of Buenos Aires, Argentina. San Telmo is a residential neighborhood that is famously known for watching live tango dancers. The touristy part of San Telmo resides on Calle La Defensa which is lined with tons of shops, bars, and restaurants.<\/p>\n

Last time I walked from Retiro all the way down to San Telmo. This time, I took the Subte (subway) metro from Retiro to Constitucion station which was on the rougher side of the San Telmo neighborhood border.<\/p>\n

Across the street from the Constitution metro station was a shopping complex called Paseo La Estacion. This is your typical swap meet in Buenos Aires where you can find counterfeit goods such as DVD\u2019s, CD\u2019s, and poorly made designer clothing. The best part about this place is that you can find cheap souvenirs to take home.<\/p>\n

The Constitution metro station area is known to be the rougher side of town in San Telmo with plenty of street art (graffiti).<\/p>\n

There are some cool restaurants such as El Patio de San Telmo Restaurants Caf\u00e9 & Bar, Urban Station, and Telmo restaurant.<\/p>\n

I began to walk north towards Calle La Defensa from the southern part of San Telmo. Here you can find the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires (The Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art).<\/p>\n

I walked north on La Defensa Street and reached the heart of San Telmo which was Plaza Dorrego. Here you can find an open courtyard restaurant which features free tango.<\/p>\n
