This was my first time flying on an US Airways operated flight in a long time. Back in April, I wrote about My Experience Flying Onboard US Airways Since the Recent Merger<\/a>. The flight from Miami to Charlotte (MIA-CLT) was only one and a half hour long and departed at 2pm in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The flight was on an Airbus A321 and First Class was in a 2-2 configuration with recliner seats.<\/p>\n

No pre-departure beverage was served which was a bit disappointing, but it was a short flight after all and PDB\u2019s are a hit and miss.<\/p>\n

After cruising altitude, the flight attendant went through the cabin with a snack basket. It was a very short flight, so I wasn\u2019t expecting a hot meal.<\/p>\n

I was a bit hungry, so I grabbed three snacks which were a bag of chips, mini pretzels, and mixed nuts. I washed it down with a coke with two limes which was housed in a plastic cup instead of real glassware.<\/p>\n

When I tweeted my photo of the new snack basket<\/a> onboard US Airways, I received a tip from a reader, Eric Harmatz<\/a> who told me to order the cranberry nut mix which is only available in the coach cabin buy on board cart. I asked the flight attendant about the cranberry nut mix and she gladly went back to the coach galley to grab one for me for free.<\/p>\n

\"USmiaclt4\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The flight attendant purser in First Class was very cheery and upbeat. She greeted everyone in First Class by name and elite status which was pleasant. It\u2019s very rare when a flight attendant even reads the names off the flight manifest and I appreciated that she thanked me for my loyalty. I had my American Airlines Executive Platinum number on the US Airways boarding pass, so I was labeled an Emerald. She said \u201cThank you for being an Emerald\u201d. This was a spectacular short flight where the flight attendant made all the difference.<\/p>\n
