I had a long layover at Miami International Airport before my flight to Asuncion, so I decided to rent a car and drive to Miami Beach. I\u2019ve probably rented a car at Miami Airport\u2019s Car Rental Center more times than any other place in the world.<\/p>\n

The first thing I do when I rent a car in Miami is to head on the 112 Airport Expressway Toll Road towards Miami Beach. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Miami and I parked my car on the side of the freeway to take in the scenery.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never had a layover in Miami on a Sunday and boy did I make a huge mistake. I knew Collins and Washington Avenue had a lot of construction going on, but finding parking was a total disaster. \u00a0It seemed like everyone and their mom was in Miami Beach. Previously, I\u2019ve had no problems finding parking but Sunday is a whole different animal.<\/p>\n

After circling for an hour, I finally found parking and I headed towards Ocean Drive where all the action was.<\/p>\n

Although touristy, I love walking on Ocean Drive and it\u2019s a great place to people watch. It was Sunday Funday and all the sorority sisters and bro\u2019s were out having brunch with bottomless champagne mimosas.<\/p>\n

The one thing I don\u2019t like about Miami Beach restaurants is that 18-20% gratuity is automatically calculated in the check, even if it\u2019s a party for 1. Last year I wrote about The One Thing I Hate About Miami Restaurant Practices<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I love hanging around Lummus Park in Miami Beach because of its serenity. You can have a picnic, lie down and read a book, do yoga, or just people watch.<\/p>\n

You can even work out and exercise in Lummus Park.<\/p>\n

\"miamibeachfl8\"<\/a> \"miamibeachfl9\"<\/a><\/p>\n

One of my favorite things to eat in Miami Beach is a Cuban sandwich since there\u2019s a large Cuban influence in Miami.<\/p>\n
