My third and final Starwood night in Taipei was at the W Taipei hotel where I redeemed 20,000 Starpoints for an award night. I took the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) subway metro to the Taipei City Hall Station where it was a 2 minute walk to the W Taipei hotel.<\/p>\n

You have to take an elevator upstairs to the main lobby area which is also called the \u2018Living Room\u2019.<\/p>\n

The front desk agent advised me that I was upgraded to a Marvelous Suite which I had used a Suite Night Award (SNA) and cleared five days prior to arrival. As a SPG Platinum member, I chose breakfast as my welcome amenity which is at The Kitchen Table restaurant.<\/p>\n

The front desk agent also handed me a voucher for access to unlimited complimentary happy hour cocktails at the Woobar and the Yen Bar from 5pm-7pm. The vouchers are for Starwood Platinum Gold and Platinum members.<\/p>\n

The Marvelous Suite living room was enormous and consisted of an executive desk, TV, sofa, and seating for two by the window.<\/p>\n
