I bought a one-way ticket on http:\/\/www.turbojet.com.hk\/en\/<\/a> beforehand and paid 246 HKD ~ $31.72 USD from Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to Macau. This is pretty much a primer on how to get from Hong Kong Airport to Macau on a Turbojet ferry.<\/p>\n

When I landed in Hong Kong International Airport, I went straight to the Ferry counter (follow the signs). Make sure you DO NOT exit to customs because the Macao Ferry counters are in the secure area.<\/p>\n

I had checked a bag from Taipei to Hong Kong and didn\u2019t know the process on how the bag would be transferred over to the Turbojet ferry. I presented my e-mail confirmation in exchange for a paper ticket and the Turbojet agent told me that they would help me transfer the bag from my Cathay Pacific flight.<\/p>\n

This was easier than I thought and I didn\u2019t have to clear customs, grab my bag at baggage claim, and re-clear security all over again to transfer. Again, if you\u2019re arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, DO NOT leave the secure area when transferring onto the Turbojet ferry. Just follow the signs to the ferry counters.<\/p>\n

My Turbojet ferry was scheduled to depart from Hong Kong International Airport\u2019s SkyPier at 10pm.<\/p>\n

Boarding for the SkyPier was thirty minutes prior at 9:30pm.<\/p>\n

After boarding began, the corridors led us to an airport train where we eventually reached the SkyPier part of Hong Kong Airport.<\/p>\n

Boarding for the Turbojet ferry began promptly at 10pm where they called First Class to board followed by Economy Class. I didn\u2019t think it was worth the extra money for a snack and drink that was provided in first class. This was only a one hour ferry ride from Hong Kong to Macau and I didn\u2019t need a better seat and certainly not the food.<\/p>\n

Economy class seating was staggered in a 3-3-3 configuration and I chose an aisle seat to the left of the ferry.<\/p>\n

There was enough legroom for a standard seat.<\/p>\n

The Turbojet ride from Hong Kong to Macau was very fast and my neighbor used one of the barf bags because of the sea sickness. The waters were a bit rough and the Turbojet was really going at full speed (I guess that\u2019s why it\u2019s called Turbojet). There was a caf\u00e9 onboard the ferry along with restrooms. When the Turbojet finally reached Macau\u2019s Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal, I waited 15 minutes for the bags to be unloaded from the ferry. My checked bag from Taipei to Hong Kong was transferred correctly to Macao on the Turbojet ferry.<\/p>\n
