I wanted to try out different Starwood Hotels in Hong Kong and since I stayed at the W Hong Kong, I was torn between choosing the Sheraton Hong Kong and the Le Meridien Cyberport. I\u2019ve heard from many people that the Le Meridien Cyberport on Hong Kong Island should be avoided since it\u2019s very far from everything. Since the Sheraton was in Kowloon and I\u2019ve already stayed at the W Hong Kong<\/a> (also located in Kowloon), I decided to book the Le Meridien Cyberport hotel for 10,000 Starpoints on a free night award redemption since the hotel was going for $230 USD+ tax.<\/p>\n

I took a 15 minute cab ride to the Le Meridien Cyberport hotel from the IFC mall in Central which was approximately $15 USD. For your information, an hourly complimentary hotel shuttle bus is also available between Le M\u00e9ridien Cyberport and Hong Kong Station in Central. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes and the bus stop is located at platform level of Hong Kong Station.<\/p>\n

When I entered the lobby area, I was greeted with an enormous amount of window light with hip and modern d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

The front desk agent thanked me for being a Platinum member and advised me that I was upgraded to an Oceanfront Deluxe Suite from a standard Smart Room. I had checked on the SPG app a day before and saw that they had pre-upgraded me to the suite which was very proactive from the hotel.<\/p>\n

She also presented me with a personalized letter stating the Platinum benefits of staying at the Le Meridien Cyberport hotel such as complimentary buffet breakfast in Prompt (4th<\/sup> Floor 6:30am \u2013 10:30am), complimentary in-room internet access, complimentary selected drinks and food throughout the day according to opening hours at PSI & Podium (4th<\/sup> Floor 4pm-11:30pm) (max 2 persons). The menu will be provided in the bar. Addition benefits include complimentary shoe shining service (2 pairs) or pressing for suit (2 pieces), 30% discount enjoyment in our restaurants, 50% discount on overnight parking, and 20% discount Business Service & Facilities.<\/p>\n

Since I was recently dressed up for my friend\u2019s wedding in Taipei, I took the hotel up on the offer of complimentary pressing for a suit (2 pieces). The front desk agent immediately called someone to take my suit in the lobby and told me that it would be ready in four hours.<\/p>\n
