The easiest way to get across the Victoria Harbour is by taxi which is also the most expensive option. Another method is to take the Tsuen Wan Line (Red Line) MTR subway from Kowloon to Central station. Alternatively, you can also cross the Victoria Harbour by sea on the Star Ferry which is the most economical and \u2018fun\u2019 way. The Star Ferry Company departs from the Star Ferry Pier and operates boat services from Kowloon to Central (Tsim Sha Tsui to Central) and Kowloon to Wan Chai (Tsim Sha Tsui to Wan Chai).<\/p>\n

I wanted to get from Kowloon to Central and bought a one-way ticket (token) from the machine for 2.50 HKD ~ $0.32 USD. You can also use an Octopus Card to pay for your fare on the Star Ferry.<\/p>\n

The fare on Monday to Friday (Except Public Holidays) is 2.50 HKD for adults and 1.50 HKD for children between 3-12 years of age. The fare on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays is 3.40 HKD for adults and 2.10 HKD for children between 3-12 years of age.<\/p>\n

Ferries depart to Central, Hong Kong Island every 5-10 minutes and the entire journey takes 7 minutes to cross the Victoria Harbour.<\/p>\n

There was plenty of seating on the ferry, but I opted to stand and take in the beautiful scenery.<\/p>\n
