Victoria Peak is a mountain located on Hong Kong Island and it\u2019s one of the top tourist attractions in Hong Kong because of the amazing views from the top. It was my first time to Hong Kong and I couldn\u2019t leave without visiting the famed Victoria Peak (The Peak).<\/p>\n

The best and most economical way to reach Victoria Peak is to take the The Peak Tram which is a 10 minute walk from Central MTR Station<\/a>. Alternatively, there are taxis and buses that do go up to The Peak, but you won\u2019t have the full touristic experience without taking The Peak Tram.\"victoriapeak1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At first sight, The Peak Tram can overwhelming and crowded with tourists, but there are actually three separate lines. The left side of the line is for Groups and VIP admission, the middle line is for General Admission ticket holders, and the right line is to purchase tickets.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t have a ticket and was not part of a group tour, so I stood in the regular ticket line (right side). There two ticket options which is the Peak Tram Sky Pass (The Peak Tram + Sky Terrace 428) and the cheaper Peak Tram only. The Peak Tram Sky Pass combo (The Peak Tram and Sky Terrace 428) is the most popular choice because you will have access to the breathtaking outdoor terrace desk with amazing views of the Hong Kong skyline (that\u2019s why you\u2019re here in the first place right?).<\/p>\n

I opted for a round-trip ride on The Peak Tram and access to Sky Terrace 428 for 80 HKD ~ $10.31 USD which was quite reasonable considering it\u2019s one of Hong Kong\u2019s top attractions.<\/p>\n

After I bought my ticket, I went to the middle line which was for ticket holders to the tram and it was quite chaotic because of the long line and anxiousness of other tourists.<\/p>\n

Be aware of the long wait because the tram moves slowly and there aren\u2019t many seats onboard. After finally waiting my turn to board, I didn\u2019t even have a seat of my own since the tram can accommodate a few passengers who wish to stand.<\/p>\n

Once off the tram, you are greeted with a hallway full of souvenir shops and trinket vendors.<\/p>\n

I opted to go outside to capture some fresh air and take a few pictures of the outdoor plaza.<\/p>\n

There are also restaurants, cafes, and snack shops at The Peak and I opted for a refreshing Hong Kong milk tea with tapioca balls (Boba).<\/p>\n

There is a separate entrance (they do scan your ticket) for those wish to enter Sky Terrace 428 where a staircase leads you up to the sky terrace. I made a video of what my experience was like at Sky Terrace 428:<\/p>\n
