I used \u201cIn-town Check In\u201d at Hong Kong MTR Station where I took a train to the airport from Hong Kong Island to Hong Kong International Airport (with 1 stop in Kowloon). I had an early Cathay Pacific First Class flight from HKG-NRT (Hong Kong to Narita, Japan) and was most excited about visiting the coveted Cathay Pacific \u2018The Wing\u2019 First Class Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA or Chek Lap Kok).<\/p>\n

After clearing immigration, I followed signs for The Wing (First Class Lounge) located near Gate 1. Be aware that The Wing is located right after security and BEFORE hopping onto the train.<\/p>\n

I had access to the Cathay Pacific \/ DragonAir \u2018The Wing\u2019 First Class Lounge because I was flying on a Cathay Pacific (CX) First Class ticket. Oneworld emerald members flying on an oneworld alliance airline also have access to this highly coveted first class lounge regardless of cabin class.<\/p>\n

My flight was very early in the morning and there was hardly anyone in the lounge.<\/p>\n

There was also a small conference table and a business center equipped with a computer.<\/p>\n

The bar area had light breakfast snacks such as croissants and various pastries.<\/p>\n

The best part about the lounge was the champagne bar which is the first room you will see when you enter The Wing. At the time, there were three bottles of Moet which I gladly almost downed a whole bottle myself.<\/p>\n

The Wing lounge also has a separate formal dining room area called \u2018The Haven\u2019 which has an A La Carte Breakfast Menu. You can order Eggs As You Like Them, Side orders (ham, bacon, pork sausage, baked beans, hash browns), Omelette (Plain or egg white), Chef\u2019s Specialty, Poached Eggs, and Hot Oatmeal with Milk.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t have much time to order because the menu states \u201cPlease allow 15-20 minutes for preparation), so I indulged in the breakfast buffet at \u2018The Haven\u2019. The breakfast buffet consisted of eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausage, noodles, dim sum, French toast, congee (jook), salad bar, fruits, cold deli meats, smoked salmon, bread, cheese, desserts, tuna salad, and cereal, and assorted pastries.<\/p>\n

Fresh juices and milk were also available from the buffet spread.<\/p>\n

I had a little bit of everything from the hot breakfast buffet spread which was delicious. I downed it with a delicious Hong Kong style milk tea which I ordered from the waiter.<\/p>\n

I was in a rush to review the other Cathay Pacific lounges, so I wasn\u2019t able to visit the highly talked about private \u201cCabana Room\u201d which has a full size bathtub, rain shower head, daybed, sofa, closet, and desk area. I will definitely check it out next time for sure and report my findings.<\/p>\n
