I usually stay at Starwood Hotels primarily, but they aren\u2019t everywhere so I\u2019m forced to stay at other hotels. In return for finding a lower price, Orbitz will refund 100% of the price difference in the form of Orbucks PLUS an additional $50 in Orbucks.<\/p>\n<p>As an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/rewards\/?ruuid=8FB5594D6520549D511FDAD6B5EE5D0822C2BC64\" target=\"_blank\">Orbitz Rewards member<\/a> you\u2019ll get even more Orbucks if you find a lower price elsewhere after booking on Orbitz:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Silver members<\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/rewards\/?ruuid=8FB5594D6520549D511FDAD6B5EE5D0822C2BC64\" target=\"_blank\">FREE to sign up<\/a>) get up to an additional $100 in Orbucks<br \/>\n<strong>&#8211; Gold members<\/strong> (after 4 room nights) get up to an additional $150 in Orbucks<br \/>\n<strong>&#8211; Platinum members<\/strong> (after 12 room nights) get up to an additional $200 in Orbucks (not to exceed the total amount of the booking)<\/p>\n<p>So how do you find lower rates and get up to $200 in additional Orbucks? I use a website called www.kayak.com\/hotels which is an aggregate site for third party hotels. Keep a note of the lowest rate available on Orbitz.com with taxes. It is lower than what I found on Orbitz.com so that works. If you get a higher or the same rate as on Orbitz.com, then you will not be able to invoke the Orbitz Best Price Guarantee. You must verify that the price is lower on the 3rd party website (in my case, Booking.com) and it must be the same room (1 King Non-smoking) with the same features (breakfast included). In addition, the 3rd party website must have the SAME cancellation policies as the one on Orbitz or else your claim will be rejected.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2015\/02\/orbitzBRG8.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16641\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2015\/02\/orbitzBRG8.jpg\" alt=\"orbitzBRG8\" width=\"814\" height=\"231\" for free<\/a>) and book your hotel. <span style=\"color: #000000\">(I generally only book refundable hotels just in case my claim gets denied for whatever reason)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 9.<\/strong> Invoke the <a href=\"https:\/\/faq.orbitz.com\/app\/ask_bpg\/c\/24\" target=\"_blank\">Orbitz Best Price Guarantee<\/a> by using this Claim form <a href=\"https:\/\/faq.orbitz.com\/app\/ask_bpg\/c\/24\" target=\"_blank\">link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2015\/02\/orbitzBRG9.jpg\"><img
