After my Etihad Airways chauffeur<\/a> dropped me off at Los Angeles International Airport\u2019s (LAX) Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), I headed straight to the LAX Star Alliance First Class Lounge with my Etihad Diamond First Class boarding pass ticket in hand.<\/p>\n

There are 3 main lounges at TBIT and they are the Korean Airlines KAL Skyteam Lounge<\/a>, oneworld Alliance Lounge<\/a>, and the Star Alliance Lounge<\/a>. Since Etihad Airways doesn\u2019t have its own lounge and isn\u2019t part of a major alliance, they grant First Class customers access to the separate First Class Star Alliance Lounge at LAX Airport.<\/p>\n

I was shocked when there wasn\u2019t even a lounge attendant to check me into the First Class Star Alliance Lounge! After wandering around for a bit, she flagged me down while I was seated and asked to see my boarding pass for verification.<\/p>\n

The Star Alliance First Class lounge was very small and relatively empty in the afternoon with plenty of open seating.<\/p>\n

I absolutely love the simple chic d\u00e9cor in this lounge.<\/p>\n

There was also a small newspaper and magazine rack with a departures board.<\/p>\n

The buffet spread consisted of fresh fruit, various lite bite desserts, assorted cheeses, crackers, a variety of savory snacks, and whole fruit.<\/p>\n

Beverages consisted of a coffee\/espresso machine, water, hard liquor, champagne, and wine.<\/p>\n

The best part about the First Class LAX Star Alliance Lounge is the white linen tablecloth seating where you can order anything off the First Class menu.<\/p>\n

The First Class menu read as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bagel and Lox \u2013 Smoked Norwegian salmon, boursin cream cheese, sliced cucumber, red onion, capers, grape tomato<\/p>\n

Ham and Eggs \u2013 Prosciutto wrapped asparagus, blistered tomato, sunny side up fresh egg, herb oil<\/p>\n

Brunch Wrap \u2013 Turkey bacon, spinach, feta cheese, whole grain wheat tortilla, fresh crema<\/p>\n

Lunch and Dinner<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soup du jour<\/p>\n

Bradley Burger \u2013 Turkey patty, cranberry mayo, Swiss cheese, tomato, root chips. Option: replace turkey with beef or with Portobello patty for vegetarian<\/p>\n

LAX Taco \u2013 Citrus marinated pork carnitas, avocado pico de gallo, fresh crema, mild salsa in a soft corn tortilla<\/p>\n

The Nuremberg \u2013 Pilsner Beer poached bratwurst, caramelized onion, whole grain mustard, home made German potato salad<\/p>\n

Ginger Lime Chicken Lettuce Wraps \u2013 Sesame lime marinated chicken, basil, mint, cilantro, tricolor bell pepper, carrot, crispy noodles, romaine spears<\/p>\n

Avocado Caesar Salad \u2013 Romaine hearts, fresh avocado, house made crouton and parmesan<\/p>\n

Smoked Gouda and Turkey Panini \u2013 Shaved turkey, arugula, and garlic aioli served with a cup of our soup du jour<\/p>\n

Brittany Crepe \u2013 Caramelized banana, fresh berries, whipped cream cheese, Ghirardelli chocolate, wafer straw<\/p>\n

Since I was in the lounge with Omar from Travel Summary<\/a>, we ordered everything on the menu for lunch since breakfast was no longer being served. In addition, the lounge attendant\/waitress kindly informed us that the LAX Tacos were not available.<\/p>\n

I helped myself to a glass of champagne from the bar area before the six course meal.<\/p>\n

We started with an Avocado Caesar Salad and Ginger Lime Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The Caesar salad was quite plain and the lettuce wraps were forgettable.<\/p>\n

We also had the Smoked Gouda and Turkey Panini which came with tomato soup and the Bradley Burger which came with chips. The Panini was quite good and the tomato soup complemented well. The burger was dry, but the chips were quite good.<\/p>\n

Next, we had The Nuremberg which came with a potato salad. The bratwurst was nothing to rave about\u00a0but I wish the bun were toasted. The homemade potato salad was out of this world though.<\/p>\n

For dessert, we had the Brittany Crepe which was probably the best part about the meal. The crepe was cooked to perfection and I could definitely see myself just having the side dishes and dessert next time.<\/p>\n

I was really impressed with the Star Alliance First Class Lounge because it felt like I belonged in a private club at\u00a0a membership only establishment. I loved how there were dining tables with waitress service, but the food was a hit or miss. Next time I\u2019m going to order just the side dishes and dessert since they were much better than the main dishes.<\/p>\n
