There was much talk about the new Avianca Lounge at the International Terminal 1 of MEX Airport which opened two months ago. The new Avianca lounge replaces the former <a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/04\/23\/mex-airport-american-express-platinum-centurion-club-t1-lounge\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Express Platinum Centurion Club Lounge<\/a>. I\u2019m guessing it didn\u2019t make sense to have 3 Amex Centurion Lounges at Mexico City International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>The new Avianca Lounge is located in Terminal 1 of Mexico City Airport past security located next to Gate 31. The lounge opens daily from 4am to 12:30am midnight which is quite nice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2015\/03\/aviancamex1-e1427778003847.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17821\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/files\/2015\/03\/aviancamex1-e1427778003847.jpeg\" alt=\"aviancamex1\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2015\/03\/aviancamex1-e1427778003847.jpeg 480w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/\/sites\/12\/2015\/03\/aviancamex1-e1427778003847-225x300.jpeg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Avianca Lounge is actually operated by the Global Lounge Network where the staff does not actually work for Avianca airlines. Be aware that the employees cannot help you with printing Avianca boarding passes or work with changing your flights because they are contracted by a third party.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/04\/23\/mex-airport-american-express-platinum-centurion-club-t1-lounge\/\" target=\"_blank\">Amex Platinum Centurion T1 Club Lounge<\/a> go away since I loved the spa and massage room. Avianca got rid of that room and now it\u2019s replaced with the long communal table and business center. Even though this lounge is on the smaller side, I love the comfortable white leather seats. The Wi-Fi was impressively fast as well compared to the <a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/04\/23\/mex-airport-american-express-platinum-centurion-club-t1-lounge\/\" target=\"_blank\">old Amex lounge<\/a> which hardly worked at all.
