I haven\u2019t flown Delta at all this year and have let my Gold Medallion elite status elapse in 2014. Back in 2013, I wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2013\/09\/10\/why-im-ending-my-relationship-with-delta-airlines-for-good\/\" target=\"_blank\">Why I&#8217;m Ending My Relationship With Delta Airlines For Good<\/a>. In 2014, I wrote <a href=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/pointssummary\/2014\/02\/08\/im-still-flying-delta-air-lines-now\/\" target=\"_blank\">Why I\u2019m Still Flying On Delta Air Lines (For Now)<\/a> but stopped completely after using up all my miles for award tickets.<\/p>\n<p>When I saw the e-mail, I was quite intrigued on why Delta would want to have me back as a customer since they\u2019ve basically gutted their award chart and imposed revenue requirements for Medallion elite status. The e-mail read: Go Platinum. Complimentary upgrades. Waived baggage fees. A Delta Sky Club\u00ae membership. This is how you deserve to travel. That&#8217;s why we&#8217;re offering you Platinum Medallion\u00ae status plus access to over 200 Delta Sky Club locations worldwide.
