As you walk through the Sao Bento metro station to get to the elevated street, there are several monuments and buildings you can see. One of them is the Faculdade de Sao Bento and Colegio de Sao Bento.<\/p>\n

There are magnificent views of downtown Sao Paulo from the elevated street. Nearby is the Iglesia de Santa Maria.<\/p>\n

As you further walk down the street, you can find the Museu Anchieta and the Tribunal de Justica do estado de Sao Paulo.<\/p>\n

Walking down further on Boa Vista, I saw many street performers and vendors near the Se Metro Station.<\/p>\n

The best thing about the Se area of Sao Paulo is the Cathedral de Se.<\/p>\n

After visiting the Cathedral de Se, I walked towards the Liberdade (Japanese town) neighborhood. There are many street vendors along the way.<\/p>\n

The Liberdade neighborhood is great for Japanese food and shopping. On Sundays, you can also find a flea market with street food vendors. Unfortunately, I didn’t visit on a Sunday (but I did last year!) this time so Liberdade Square was empty.<\/p>\n

I took the Metro from Liberdade to the Avenida Paulista neighborhood. Avenida Paulista is basically the modern Downtown Sao Paulo and the street is filled with retail, restaurants, bars, and shopping complexes.<\/p>\n

Avenida Paulista is also home to the famous MASP museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Sao Paulo.<\/p>\n
