I\u2019m a big fan of transferring my Club Carlson points to airline miles. I never went out of my way to stay at a Club Carlson hotel to earn stay or night credits. I only stayed at a Club Carlson hotel if there was a huge promotion such as Stay 1 night, get 50,000 points. I also earned Club Carlson points on third party stays leveraging my Gold Elite status (from status matches).<\/p>\n

Well, it looks like the gravy train is over for transferring Club Carlson points to Airline Miles. According to Ben (One Mile at a Time)<\/a> and Gary (View from the Wing)<\/a>, they have reported that Club Carlson devaluated the transfer ratio overnight unannounced with no advanced notice.<\/p>\n

Previously, you could transfer 2,000 points to 250 miles<\/strong>, 50,000 points to 8,000 miles<\/strong>, and 100,000 points to 18,000 miles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now, the new transfer ratios are 2,000 points to 200 miles<\/strong>, 50,000 points to 5,000 miles<\/strong>, and 100,000 points to 10,000 miles<\/strong>. That is a huge and significant blow to anyone who transfers Club Carlson points into airline miles.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m done with the Club Carlson loyalty program. I only have 1,135 points left. Good riddance Club Carlson!<\/p>\n
