The one thing I love to do when I travel is eat and I love trying local specialties and national dishes. I was only in Monterrey for one night, so I couldn\u2019t possible have tried everything, so I will give you a photo tour of the various foods I captured during my time in Monterrey, Mexico.<\/p>\n

There were plenty of street vendors near the Zona Rosa neighborhood selling various Mexican candy, marzipan, and also ice cream.<\/p>\n

There are also vendors in the Macroplaza Park selling fruit, chips, and candy.<\/p>\n

In the pedestrian only street, Calle Corregidora, there were street vendors selling Mexican candy and bacon wrapped hot dogs.<\/p>\n

You can also find many restaurants in Calle Corregidora, but one that particularly stuck out to me was a place selling Churros Rellenos (stuffed churros). In this case, it was stuffed with chocolate.<\/p>\n

In Centro Monterrey, you can find street vendors selling fresh fruit in almost every block.<\/p>\n

For dinner, I had dinner at the famous El Rey del Cabrito which serves Monterrey’s local dish, cabrito (baby goat).<\/p>\n

I ordered a Carta Blanca beer which is the local favorite.<\/p>\n

I had the Plato Mixto which was a half order of Cabrito and a half order of arrachera which was delicious. The entree also came with chips and salsa, lots of lime, and fresh corn tortillas.<\/p>\n
