I recently wrote about my experience on a First Class American Airlines JFK-LAX flight<\/a> on a 767-200 aircraft.\u00a0I also wrote about the difference between Business and First Class on a transcontinental American flight<\/a>. I normally don\u2019t do domestic F or J reviews, but this one is special because it will likely be my last transcontinental flight on an ancient 767-200 before the new A321\u2019s roll out in the beginning of next year.<\/p>\n

These recliners controls are just terrible and I can\u2019t wait to see these retire.<\/p>\n

As a pre-departure beverage, I had champagne. The choices were water, orange juice, or champagne. You can always ask for a mimosa if there aren\u2019t any on the pre-arranged beverage tray.<\/p>\n

After take-off, I was presented with the breakfast menu.<\/p>\n

I had the breakfast skillet which consisted of cream cheese and chive scrambled eggs with goat cheese sauce, potatoes O’Brien, and grilled asparagus. The dish also came with a biscuit and fresh mixed fruit.<\/p>\n

After my entr\u00e9e was done, the flight attendant personally brought out a gourmet cheese tray.<\/p>\n

An hour before landing, the flight attendant served freshly baked on board cookies. I had an oatmeal raisin cookie.<\/p>\n

Shortly before landing, I was served sparkling water with a citrus fruit garnish.<\/p>\n

The transcontinental service from American Airlines is always top notch. The flight attendants are always attentive and if you need anything, don\u2019t hesitate to ring the flight attendant call button. The food was excellent and the breakfast skillet is my all-time favorite breakfast dish on American. I just can\u2019t wait until American takes delivery of the new A321\u2019s on January 7th!<\/p>\n
