This will be a two part review of the Le Meridien Beach Plaza hotel in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The first part will focus on the room portion and the second part will focus on the breakfast and outdoor private beach. I booked the room for 169 euros ~ $232.10 USD with taxes included using the Beat the Timer rate (now called Hot Escapes). The Le Meridien Beach Plaza is the only Starwood hotel in Monte Carlo, Monaco and I really wanted to try it out.<\/p>\n

My flight landed in Nice International Airport (NCE) and I took an air conditioned bus for $20 USD to the Le Meridien Beach Plaza hotel. The journey took approximately 45 minutes due to multiple stops and the bus dropped me off right in front of the hotel. $20 USD is much cheaper than a 100 euro+ cab fare!<\/p>\n

I arrived at the hotel around noon and the check-in line was ginormous. I used a Suite Night Award and was confirmed into a Design Suite five days prior. The front desk agent politely told me that my room was not ready and that they were cleaning it. It wouldn\u2019t be ready for another hour, so I kept my belongings with the bellman and ventured off the property into Monte Carlo for a quick lunch.<\/p>\n
