Cuisine in Monte Carlo, Monaco is heavily influenced by its French neighbors. Think of Monaco as an extension of France. You will find many traditional French restaurants with an extension of Italian cuisine. I only stayed one night in Monaco so this isn\u2019t a comprehensive list of items to eat in Monaco, but rather a taste of Monaco.<\/p>\n

Along the windy streets of Monaco, you can find many restaurants offering French and Italian cuisine including happy hour specials.<\/p>\n

There are also very high end restaurants inside the Le Metropole shopping center. One of my favorite snacks is the French macarons which can be found inside the shopping center.<\/p>\n

Monaco is housed with plenty of cafes and the most famous one is Caf\u00e9 de Paris which overlooks the Monte Carlo casino.<\/p>\n

Another popular caf\u00e9 with locals is Sass Caf\u00e9 where it turns into a nightclub during the evening.<\/p>\n

Since everything was super expensive in Monaco, I decided to take a stroll the off beaten main path and find a hidden gem for lunch. Snack Meghi was located in a narrow alley in between residential buildings.<\/p>\n

Snack Meghi is a tiny restaurant that serves Italian food and also offers quick take out service. I had the cheese ravioli for about 5 euros which is incredibly inexpensive for Monaco standards since lunch is usually around 10-15 euros.<\/p>\n

For dinner, I found an inexpensive French restaurant near the Monte Carlo casino called Le Tip Top serving both French and Italian cuisine.<\/p>\n

I ordered a cappuccino and pasta bolognaise and it came out to 18 euros total which isn\u2019t too bad for Monaco since entrees elsewhere can range from 20 euros+ without a beverage.<\/p>\n
