This post isn\u2019t a comprehensive list of things to do in Santiago, Chile. Instead, this is meant to document what I did in Santiago for less than 12 hours. In April 2013, I spent three nights and four days in Santiago, Chile where you can find a full compressive trip report here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From the Santa Lucia metro station, I walked along the sidewalks of the main street called Liber Bernardo O\u2019Higgins towards the Universidad Catolica metro station. Along the way, I saw many street vendors selling their wares.<\/p>\n

At the base of Cerro Santa Lucia<\/a>, there was a beautiful fountain display.<\/p>\n

As I walked furthermore, I saw the Catholic University which is right across the street from the Universidad Catolica metro station.<\/p>\n

Around the Universidad Catolica metro station, you can find a mini swap meet where vendors sell their used items and there are often many used books for sale.<\/p>\n

From the Universidad Catolica metro station, I walked towards nearby Barrio Lastarria<\/a> which is a bohemian neighborhood of Santiago, Chile. In Barrio Lastarria<\/a>, you can find many beautiful and colorful buildings.<\/p>\n

There are also many quaint shops and artists.<\/p>\n

From Barrio Lastarria<\/a>, I walked past the entrance of Cerro Santa Lucia<\/a> which is a huge park on a hill and went towards the Bellas Artes neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The Bellas Artes neighborhood is one of my favorites and it\u2019s just as quaint as Barrio Lastarria<\/a>. There are amazing bookstores and art murals.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a lively neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants, cafes, and you can even get a shoe shine near the Bellas Artes metro station.<\/p>\n

From the Bellas Artes neighborhood, I walked towards the historic center of Santiago called Plaza de Armas<\/a>. I made two videos about Plaza de Armas<\/a>.<\/p>\n
