I was on a cheap $129 economy fare ticket and somehow I was able to get upgraded to business class. It started out with a tweet to LAN Airlines to see if they could add me to the airport standby upgrade list. Their response was that only the airport could do that for me. I was perfectly fine with my economy seat since I chose a bulkhead aisle, but it always never hurts to ask.<\/p>\n

I took a few pictures of the beautiful Boeing 763 that was bound from Lima, Peru to Buenos Aires, Argentina (LIM-EZE).<\/p>\n

Shortly before boarding, I heard my name called on the loudspeaker. I was shocked when she told me that I had been upgraded to Premium Business Class. So there was an angel who put me on the upgrade standby list and it said so right on the ticket. I was so ecstatic at this point.<\/p>\n

I had to show a contracted worker proof of payment for the Argentinian visa. Be aware that you do need to pre-pay the visa fees online with a printed confirmation before you can board. You can\u2019t even get a boarding pass without showing this proof, let alone board a flight to Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n

\"LAlimeze4\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Boeing 767-300 Business Class cabin is a 2-2-2 configuration.<\/p>\n

My seat was in the middle, 2D which had direct aisle access.<\/p>\n

I was handed a premium business class amenity kit from the flight attendant.<\/p>\n

The flight attendant also offered me a choice of reading material and I chose Latin Finance since it was the only one in English.<\/p>\n

I was offered orange juice as a pre-departure beverage.<\/p>\n

After the plane reached cruising altitude, I was offered a hot wet towel.<\/p>\n

Menus were not handed out since it was a morning breakfast flight. I had the cheese omelet with mushrooms and it came with toasted bread, pound cake, and fruit.<\/p>\n

Shortly after my meal, I turned my seat into a lie flat bed and went to sleep.<\/p>\n

The meal service was quick, but the meal itself was not filling at all. There were only three pieces of mushroom with the omelet and I\u2019m not a big fan of pound cake. The in-flight entertainment screen was huge, but I slept throughout my flight so I wasn’t able to watch a movie.<\/p>\n
