I booked two separate stays at the Sheraton Buenos Aires and Convention Center hotel both on a BRG (Best Rate Guarantee) rate of $92.57 USD and $119.01 USD. I was able to further reduce my hotel costs by almost 45% by paying in Argentine pesos using the more favorable black market rate. I would be earning 2,000 Starpoints on each stay (4,000 Starpoints total) as well which I value at $120 at 3cpp. Taking all these in account, I think I stayed for free or even made money thanks to currency arbitrage situation in Argentina. I used a Suite Night Award on my first night here and got upgraded to a one-bedroom Premiere Suite. I got upgraded to the San Martin suite (Presidential Suite) on my second stay. This hotel review is in three parts which I will review the Premiere Suite, Presidential Suite, and the food offerings at the lounge.<\/p>\n

I took a shared shuttle bus from Manuel Tienda Leon at EZE Airport for 80 Argentinian pesos or $14 USD. I paid in dollars using their bad exchange rate because I was going to change my US dollars for pesos in the city at the more favorable Argentina black market rate. In the end, it was definitely much cheaper than taking a taxi for $50 USD. The shuttle bus stopped right across the street from the Sheraton Buenos Aires hotel and it was only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful lobby.<\/p>\n

I tried to check-in at the front desk in the lobby, but was told I needed to check at the club level since I am a Platinum member.<\/p>\n

Check-in was more private at the club level with more attentive and personalized service. I was advised that the club lounge was closed during renovations and that the evening appetizers and breakfast was served at the nearby connected Park Tower hotel. The Park Tower hotel is a Starwood Luxury Collection property.<\/p>\n

The premiere suite living room contained a sofa, dining table, and a TV.<\/p>\n

The bedroom had a King size bed, executive work desk, and a TV.<\/p>\n

The bathroom was small and contained a sink, bath tub, and a standing shower.<\/p>\n
