My hotel strategy in Buenos Aires was staying one night at the Sheraton Buenos Aires & Convention Center<\/a>, another night at the Sheraton Libertador, and the final night back at the Sheraton Buenos Aires<\/a>. I did this because I had three separate BRG (Best Rate Guarantee) rates and I would earn three stays with Starwood Preferred Guest and earn 6,000 Starpoints (2k each) as a BRG reward. My BRG rate at the Sheraton Libertador was $119.18 and I paid in Argentine pesos using the black market rate which gave me a further 45% reduction.<\/p>\n

The Sheraton Libertador is located in the Microcenter of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since I was hotel hopping, it was a 15 minute walk to the Sheraton Libertador from the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center<\/a> in Retiro.<\/p>\n

I was excited because I had been pre-upgraded to the Presidential Suite (I checked the SPG app before arrival). From what I read online, this hotel has several Presidential Suites. The front desk agent proceeded to let me know that I had been upgraded to the Presidential Suite and offered me 4pm late check-out which I happily obliged.<\/p>\n
