Back to Athens and homeward bound

July 2011:

So there were two buses in the morning. Some of the other guests left on the first one at around 6am while i took the slightly later one at 8am. I managed to catch the sunrise in the morning.

This time back, I didnt need to change buses. There was a stop but that was about it.

I decided to walk around Monastiraki and I got a bottle of Greek Ouzo to bring back home. I eventually gave it to one of the wedding guests back in the states as he was a big fan of Ouzo.

I stopped back into the restaurant I went to before the wedding and had my last Greek meal before going back home.

I made it to the airport with plenty of time and had an uneventful flight to LHR where I had an overnight layover. I was staying with a distant cousin and I requested some fish and chips.

The fish and chips was good. Her place was pretty close to the airport but nowhere near central London so I didn’t get a chance to see the sights. I wouldn’t have mind seeing them at night but it was quite far. The following morning I was back at the airport to catch my flight to Boston.

Overall, it was a great trip. I got a nice tan, meet some new people that I still keep in touch with, and saw a part of Greece I would never see on my own. The bride and groom were great tour guides and I attempted to get them listed on TripAdvisor. I couldn’t fake their credentials that well so I failed in that attempt.
