March 2012

We went to Aliante Gold Club for breakfast before going to Red Rock

We stopped at the Red Rock Canyon National Park Vistor Center before driving into the national park itself.

The road into the national park is one way and is a giant loop with many elevation changes. There were a few bicyclers doing the loop and we saw more going towards and leaving the national park on the road back into the city.

Below was the first parking area. There were many hiking routes that start here.

The road leads to the canyon besides the mountain ranges to the south.

Overall it was a great short drive. It took about an hour to drive through the park and take pictures and you can do most of it inside the car so if its too hot or too cold, you can just see it outside your window. Next time, I may do a short hike here or bike the entire national park loop.

Before the Mystere Cirque de Soliel show at Treasure Island, we walked around some of the other casinos.

We stopped by Caesar’s Palace and the fountain.

We took a peak into the Venetian and saw the amazing sky ceiling.

We then made our way over to the show. We have never seen any of the shows before so we did not know what to expect. The show was very artistic and amazing. This got us hooked and we are looking to see another. They tour the country all the time with different shows so we may see one in Boston when they come by.
