Singapore 2014: Where to stay

Singapore 2014: Where to stay

Singapore (where to stay)

I stayed right near Chinatown between the Chinatown and Outram Park stop. This was actually a very central location. The green line goes directly to the airport. The blue downtown line goes down to Marina Bay sands. The red line goes up to Orchard Road and downtown, the zoo and Singapore history/art museum. The orange line at Outram park goes down to the waterfront and just over the bridge to Santosa Island.

Because of its amazing location, another place would be the Marina Bay Sands. There’s not really much there other than the pool and a big shopping mall.  I may consider staying there just for a night next time I’m there to go to the pool, gardens and for the view.

Another option could be Orchard Road. There are a bunch of malls there.

Another place to stay would be Santosa Island. There are many family activities and great for kids.  There is a waterpark, aquarium, universal studios, zip-line, downhill louge, observation tower, segway tours and bike rentals, indoor skydiving, cable car,  and beaches. I will admit that most are decent attractions and not worth it, but if you are here for a family vacation, it may be worth checking out.
