Hong Kong Airport Plaza Premium Lounge

Hong Kong Airport Plaza Premium Lounge

This flight is part of my trip to Melbourne through Hong Kong and Macao:

After getting back from Hong Kong, I had some time to spend at HKG airport before my flight on American Airlines back to Dallas and then to Boston. The last time I was here, I visited all the different Cathay Pacific lounges so this time I decided to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge. I have access to this lounge through my priority pass membership with my American Express Platinum Card. Plaza Premium lounges are pretty nice and are in many Asian airports.

This lounge is located near gate 40 and fairly easy to find. The lounge itself was very bright as it is on the upper level of the airport.

The food offerings are what you would come to expect from an Asian Lounge. there was a good mix of food and beverages available at the lounge. There was a nice assortment of pastries and hot food. They also offer Hong Kong Style Fish Ball Noodle soup with a chef preparing it for you. This is on par with the Wonton Noodle soup offered in the business class lounge of the Cathay Pacific Wing.

There was also ample room to sit and enjoy your food. All in all, this was a very nice lounge and a great alternative to Cathay’s Pacific lounge if you don’t have OneWorld status or not flying in a premium cabin with Cathay Pacific.
