Paris Marathon 2015 – AA Chicago First Class Lounge and Flight to Paris

Since I was American Airlines Executive Platinum and flying internationally, I am able to use the Flagship First Class Lounge in Chicago. Note that it is not an Admirals Club. It is available for First Class passengers or American Airlines Executive Platinum passengers flying internationally on Oneworld. It is located at the end of the K terminal near Gate K19. It is a small lounge, but due to its free food selection, it is the better lounge at Chicago for American Airlines passengers. It is mainly geared for Japanese customers since it is located next to the gate for the flights to Tokyo.

The lounge is smaller than the rest of the lounges since it is geared for First Class passengers, but it can get crowded from the flight to Tokyo alone due to its top tier and first class passengers. There are a few sitting areas along with a small business area (not pictured)

One of the highlights of this lounge is the food and free drinks. You have a good spread of alcohol and beer on one side while the hot and cold food selection is on the other side.

Like I said before, it mainly caters to Japanese passengers so there is sushi, miso soup (pictured with ladle) and noodles (not in picture for some reason) and cold sandwiches. The food selection isn’t that impressive, but it is more than you would get at the Admirals club. I usually have a few pieces of sushi and some soup and get a few beers. I know that I would be served a meal, whether I’m going to Asia or Europe from out of Chicago. I don’t necessarily need to be full leaving the lounge, but the food here is more than adequate in keeping my hunger at bay.
