Hainan Airlines is selling round-trip business class tickets to China for a great deal!  If I wasn’t so busy this spring I’d definitely take advantage of it.  You should purchase the ticket with the Citi Prestige or the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit cards to maximize your points.  In addition, Hainan Airlines partners with Alaska Airlines so you can credit your flight to the Alaska frequent flier program (which is one of my favorite programs).  With Alaska you’ll likely earn 50% of actual miles flown toward elite status with the coach ticket (Q class) and 200% of actual miles flown toward elite status with the business class ticket (R class).
