State Dept: Ugly People, Stay Home!

If you haven’t heard about this yet, you probably will. The State Department usually sounds out informative tweets to its followers to help educate the public about upcoming travel alerts, scams, and other (sometimes) useful tips, to enhance your travel experience abroad.  However, they really didn’t put much thought into this tweet about “being a 10” here and elsewhere.  That belly flop of a tweet cost them dearly, as followers from every corner of the Earth started tweeting them about their choice of words.  One tweet suggested that a Trump campaign volunteer was interning at the State Department, with those kinds of words.  Another tweeted about how useless the alerts are altogether. There’s a lot of news outlets covering this, but I found The Guardian’s post, most entertaining.
