This is a good opportunity to ‘top off’ your LifeMiles account, if you are near an award. Keep in mind LifeMiles may be used on any Star Alliance carrier, and the miles are pretty easy to redeem in my opinion. I am personally going to buy 2000 miles to top off my account to 50,000 miles. That should be enough for a first class domestic United ticket, or a one-way business class ticket from Europe to the Middle East, which I may use later to attend a friend’s wedding in Dubai. Either way, it’s good to have just in case you want to go somewhere. I enrolled in LifeMiles when US Bank was offering their card with a 40,000 mile sign up bonus, after spending $3,000 in 4 months. I am not sure what happened, but I ended up with an additional 3,000 points somehow, and I am not going to question it. Silence is the best policy in cases like this.<\/p>\n
