I just logged into my Hilton account to get the address for my hotel in London. I happened to notice that my last stay at a Hilton was in September of 2011. It’s been a year since my last Hilton Stay? My, how time flies.
Back in 2005-2006 I had Hilton Diamond Status and Marriott Platinum Status, but switched over to Starwood and have made Starwood my primary hotel chain ever since. I let my Hilton status expire and maintained Starwood Platinum and Marriott Gold until this year. I don’t think I’m going to re-qualify for Marriott Gold this year so I decided to make the switch back to Hilton. I took advantage of a Hilton Status Challenge to earn Gold by staying 4 stays or 9 nights. I’ve got 13 nights over the next two weeks in London at a Hilton.
I’ll be checking into the Hilton London Hyde Park for a two-week stay and I’m looking forward to starting – or re-starting – my relationship with Hilton! It’s been a long time Hilton, I’m glad you’re back!

Hilton is one of the better options for a secondary program in my opinion. Marriott is just too steep on qualification requirements and weak on published benefits.
After hitting gold status last year, I haven’t stayed in a Hilton since New Years :(. I was trying to get stays for the Carlson Club challenge lol. I will probably start again next year. I do love Hilton though.
