Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Review

This week my parents are at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. I have my mom trained incredibly well. The first thing she does now at any hotel is snap some photos and send me her thoughts.

Upon arriving at the hotel, they were offered a complimentary mimosa or glass of champagne. That’s a nice touch and something you don’t frequently see at US hotels.  The property looks beautiful.

The room has a king-sized bed (if it’s as comfortable as the Hyatt in Chicago, they’re in for a good night’s sleep!) I can’t wait to hear about the wall decor, I can’t tell if those are birds, butterflies or bats.  The hotel was very clean and felt tropical without being 1980s Florida.

My mom reported back that the bathtub is a bit on the old side, but it is clean.

Room View

The room has a real Florida vibe with the thatched headboard and floral pillows. The chair is unique and stands out in the room.

The restaurant staff was curteous and knowledgeable, however, if you want a light meal in-between the time the restaurant closes and the bar opens you’re out of luck – unless you want to eat poolside. That’s hard to do when you’re at a business meeting, in business attire and it’s 90+ degrees in the shade.

Overall, the location got lots of accolades from my parents – who have stayed at some the most unreal hotels in the world!  If you’re in the area, check out this Hyatt and let me know what you think.
