Why I’m Changing My Name Now

If you follow me on Twitter, you might have noticed I changed my handle a few months ago. And in the last week, I’ve updated the header of this blog to reflect the upcoming change.

My first post was June 6, 2010, exactly 5 years ago. When I started my blog I was writing a small blog for my friends, family and colleagues. I moved to BoardingArea after about a year of blogging and then joined First2Board 3 years ago.

I started as “Very Good Points” because I was talking about travel, earning points and spending them, but I primarily wrote about travel. I modified the name to “Very Good Points about Food & Travel” hoping people would think I was making points about food and travel.  No, not so much.  So I decided awhile ago to become Explorations Guru because what I really love writing about is traveling the world.

You can check out www.explorations.guru and you’ll find a blog focused primarily on hotel reviews, restaurant reviews and some travel posts.  You’ll also find a feed from my blog here and a feed of my blogs there on this site – so don’t worry – you won’t miss anything if you don’t look at both blogs.
