The award options included a club upgrade, a food &amp; beverage amenity or extra points when dining at a property (no stay required).\u00a0 The award was discontinued on 12\/31\/12.<\/p>\n<p>My last award certificate was expiring on 3\/31.\u00a0 I have no stays planned between now and then, so I decided to go for dinner at the Hyatt closest to my house, the Hyatt Lisle.\u00a0\u00a0 Restaurant.com had a $10 certificate for $1.40 for Chatfield\u2019s, so I snagged one a few days ago.<\/p>\n<p>I ordered up some buffalo wings with a side of fries for dinner.\u00a0 I decided to go for dessert, and the banana chocolate cake on the menu was calling me.\u00a0 Well, it was the best cake that I have had in a long time!<\/p>\n<p>If you have a Platinum Extras certificate sitting at home\u2026dust it off.\u00a0 It\u2019s time to spend it or loose it.\u00a0 Memorabilia is good, but 1,000 Gold Passport points and Banana Chocolate Cake is GREAT<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2919\" alt=\"cake\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/03\/cake-300x265.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/03\/cake-300x265.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/03\/cake-386x341.jpg 386w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/03\/cake.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By PlushAdventures Platinum Hyatt Gold Passport members had historically been awarded a Platinum Extras award for every 3 stays completed.
