Recently I had the\u00a0pleasure\u2026hmmm\u2026I had the opportunity?? Let\u2019s just say I had some really bizarre flights\u00a0recently.<\/p>\n<p>Tiger Air flight crew wears black and yellow and yes, the female flight crew wears tiger printed scarf\u2019s as belts. One of the male members of the flight crew had a tiger tail. I kid you not. The planes do have tigers and tiger stripes painted on them. The inside of the plane was cramped. The seats made Spirit Airlines look luxurious. They packed the people in.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3120\" alt=\"tiger\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/tiger-300x206.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/tiger-300x206.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/tiger.jpg 308w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Firefly, not to be confused with the Sweet Tea Vodka from South Carolina called Firefly (oh, I see a great partnership brewing here.)\u00a0Their outfits are bright orange, the planes are orange, there&#8217;s a lot of orange. I really didn&#8217;t like the scarves the crew wears. Luckily for them they don\u2019t have to wear the scarves as wings! \u00a0You&#8217;ll see a lot of Firefly in Langkawi, Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur (if you&#8217;re looking.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3122\" alt=\"firefly1\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/firefly1-300x174.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/firefly1-300x174.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/firefly1.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3121\" alt=\"Firefly\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/Firefly.jpg\" width=\"196\" height=\"162\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And then there is Lion Air \u2013 we&#8217;ve heard about them in the news lately for their recent crash. I actually saw one of their planes parked right in between Air Asia and Tiger in KL. Who do you think wins in that fight? I would guess Tiger?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3123\" alt=\"lion\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/lion-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/lion-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/lion-454x341.jpg 454w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/lion.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, the one that continually puzzles me is Nok Air \u2013 a low fare Thai carrier. The logo, a bird, looks like a fortune cookie (but that\u2019s not really Thai). \u00a0Their planes are painted like tropical birds. \u00a0I just can&#8217;t get past the fortune cookie similarity. \u00a0They do offer really good fares in Thailand.<\/p>\n<p><em id=\"__mceDel\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3124\" alt=\"nok2\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/nok2-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/nok2-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/nok2.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3126\" alt=\"nok1\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/04\/nok1-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/nok1-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/04\/nok1.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p>And do the poor Nok crew really have to wear big bird yellow? While not a true low cost carrier, they&#8217;re much more reasonable than most. So I&#8217;m calling them semi-low carrier. The only time I&#8217;ve ever seen them is in Fiji. Perhaps they are taken over by Lion and we\u2019ll let Simba figure out who keeps control after the merger. They also must change their name from Air Asia to one of the other big 5 predators in jungle \u2013 something like leopard, elephant, buffalo or rhino. Hmmm\u2026I can see the uniforms now. Elephant Tusks to keep unruly passengers in line?
