{"id":369,"date":"2012-03-16T12:27:29","date_gmt":"2012-03-16T12:27:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/boardingarea.com\/blogs\/verygoodpoints\/?p=369"},"modified":"2012-03-16T12:27:29","modified_gmt":"2012-03-16T12:27:29","slug":"are-handkerchiefs-the-new-green-standard-for-hotels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/2012\/03\/16\/are-handkerchiefs-the-new-green-standard-for-hotels\/","title":{"rendered":"Are handkerchiefs the new \u201cgreen\u201d standard for hotels?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I ran out of tissues in my hotel room this week and so I requested a box of Kleenex from housekeeping.\u00a0 Admittedly, there was a bit of a language barrier with the person whom I was making the request of.\u00a0 Shortly after making the request, there was a knock at the door and a\u00a0housekeeper appeared\u00a0with a good old-fashioned handkerchief. \u00a0I was at a loss for words (rare moment!)<\/p>\n<p>So I got to thinking\u2026did they just misunderstand my request or is this the newest way in which hotels are going \u201cgreen\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>In the end, I didn\u2019t use the handkerchief&#8230;it just seemed a bit too radical for me.\u00a0 What do you think?
