Hidden in a busy Mt Pleasant, SC shopping center is a modern restaurant with exceptional food and service to match. At Eurasia<\/a>, Executive Chef Meredith Adams focus on farm-fresh, local and seasonal American food with a hint of Asian influence.<\/p>\n

I visited Eurasia on a Tuesday and there was a steady flow of diners in the dining room and bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and provides a sense of calm amidst the throngs of Whole Foods shoppers. Diners are welcomed with a basket of reading glasses and a cheerful hostess (the reading glasses were a hit with my cousin) who promptly seated us and offered us water.<\/p>\n

Our server was extremely knowledgeable and offered great suggestions about the menu. My only complaint was that even with great eye-sight I had a hard time reading the specials board \u2013 the handwriting was cryptic.
\nThe menu offers a variety of choices from salads and sandwiches to creative and enticing entrees.<\/p>\n

I ordered the Sweet Sesame-Soy Glazed Salmon with Sweet bay farms Hydroponic bok choy Wadmalaw island rainbow carrots, steamed broccoli and Mepkin Abbey rainbow micros. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned with precision. The salmon looked dry when it arrived \u2013 it was anything but dry \u2013 and I enjoyed every bite. I am still thinking about that Salmon three days later!<\/p>\n

My family really enjoyed the Grilled Bigeye Tuna with preserved lemons, Greek olive tapenade, petite arugula and a vine ripe tomato \u201cpie\u201d with Laura Chenel goat cheese, basil & shallots and the Thai Green Curry Seafood Bowl with ginger scented jasmine rice, Big Eye Tuna, PEI mussels, Sapelo Island clams, shrimp, and blue crab. We all cleaned our plates!<\/p>\n

Although we didn\u2019t partake on this trip, dessert looked amazing and I will definitely be making a trip \u2013 or two, or three \u2013 back to Eurasia so I can sample more of Chef Adam\u2019s marvelous creations \u2013 like the \u201cPortabella Pot Pie\u201d With Risotto Filling.<\/p>\n

Eurasia is located in the same shopping center as Whole Foods and Graze \u2013 another restaurant that claims to offer seasonally, farm-fresh food, but doesn\u2019t deliver nearly what Eurasia does. If you have to pick, head over to Eurasia \u2013 you won\u2019t be disappointed. I promise pictures on my next trip!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
