Take something from a box and add a little bit of this and a little bit of that and poof&#8230;it&#8217;s semi-homemade.<\/p>\n<p>When I go to Thailand, it&#8217;s usually for weeks at a time &#8211; up to three months! By the time I head back to states, I&#8217;m usually ready to ditch the Thai food for&#8230;well, anything else. \u00a0But then, a few weeks &#8211; or even days &#8211; after being home I crave my favorite Thai. \u00a0Now, if you don&#8217;t live in a city with access to tons of Thai food, finding something authentic can be rough.<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s what I do now. \u00a0I order Tom Yum Soup online and I fix it up. \u00a0It took a ton of trail and error before I found a brand that I liked. \u00a0I have finally found one that I not only like, but I love once it&#8217;s semi-homemade. \u00a0Annie Chun&#8217;s Tom Yum bowls are great! \u00a0I order them in bulk from <a href=\"http:\/\/rcm.amazon.com\/e\/cm?t=first0a2-20&amp;o=1&amp;p=42&amp;l=ur1&amp;category=home&amp;banner=1Z0D6H2SYAZP6JGFNSG2&amp;f=ifr\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>. Here&#8217;s a photo of my last order.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3980\" alt=\"tomyum box.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/files\/2013\/05\/tomyum-box.jpg.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/05\/tomyum-box.jpg.jpg 300w, http:\/\/first2board.com\/verygoodpoints\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/\/sites\/2\/2013\/05\/tomyum-box.jpg-280x300.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Tom Yum Soup bowls, I also order Kaffir Lime and Lemongrass. \u00a0Now, if you have the opportunity to buy Kaffir Lime at a market of some sort or in Thailand, I highly suggest you do &#8211; the grocery store prices are expensive.<\/p>\n<p>To make the soup here&#8217;s what I do.<\/p>\n<p>1. Open the package and fill the bowl with hot water. Put the noodles in the hot water for about a minute to soften them.<\/p>\n<p>2. Drain all the water from the noodles and set the noodles on the lid.<\/p>\n<p>3. Before opening the silver flavour packet, crush it up.<\/p>\n<p>4. Fill the bowl with hot water, add the contents of the sliver packet along with the sauce packet. \u00a0Add Kaffir Lime and Lemongrass to taste.<\/p>\n<p>5. Add the noodles by breaking them up into smaller pieces.<\/p>\n<p>6.
