What are the best rooftop bars in Bangkok? Well, I’m sure you’ll get a different answer for each person you ask. But here are some of the popular ones you might try.<\/p>\n

Vertigo and Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree Hotel \u00a0– the 61st floor is home to this popular bar and you’ll find Bangkok’s “in-crowd” here. It’s located on\u00a0Sathorn Road near Silom.<\/p>\n

360 bar at the Millennium Hilton – on the 31st floor, this bar is not nearly as high, but definitely provides a great view. The Hilton is on the\u00a0Chao Phraya River and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch some fireworks. The nice thing about this hotel is that it’s directly across from the Sheraton Royal Orchid hotel and you can take a ferry across the river from the Sheraton to the Hilton.<\/p>\n

Skybar at Lebua State Tower – this is possibly the most famous bar since it appeared in the popular Hangover II. On the 63rd floor, this is one of the higher bars in the city. Drinks will set you back around $20. Keep in mind, Skybar has a very strict dress code. No athletic clothes, no sports uniforms (team jerseys\/team shirts), no ripped or torn clothing, no shorts or sleeveless t-shirts, no beach sandals, flip-flops, Birkenstocks (yes, they specifically call those out) and, men must wear fully covered shoes.<\/p>\n

Red Sky at Centra Grand – this bar is located in the Silom area and is on the 55th floor. The views in this area can be obstructed by skyscrapers and the area is a shopping mecca. Red Sky is much newer than other bars, so it’s still developing its reputation and style.<\/p>\n

L’Appart –\u00a0L\u2019Appart is a French restaurant (one of my favorite) with perhaps the greatest restaurant-concept design Bangkok has to offer. Styled as a high-society Parisian apartment from the turn of the 19th Century, you can dine in library, kitchen, living room or roof top terrace. The bar wraps around the hotel and provides great views of the Sukhumvit district and beyond. Located on the 32nd floor, this bar is stylish – with a french flare – and at the same time, not so stuffy that you can’t wear jeans and a blazer.<\/p>\n

The Rooftop Bar – This one won’t win any awards for original names, but it does hold the record for highest bar in the city. \u00a0It’s on the 83rd floor of Baiyoke Sky Hotel in Pratunam District.
