If approved,\u00a0Chengdu\u00a0will be the 9th destination United serves in the\u00a0Asia nonstop from\u00a0San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed flights, subject to government approval, will depart\u00a0San Francisco\u00a0International Airport at 1:35 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays\u00a0and arrive at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport at\u00a06:50 p.m.\u00a0the following day (all times local). Service from\u00a0Chengdu\u00a0will depart at\u00a010 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays\u00a0and arrive at\u00a0San Francisco\u00a0International Airport at\u00a08:50 a.m.\u00a0the same day.\u00a0 Flying times will be approximately 14 hours, 15 minutes westbound and 13 hours, 50 minutes eastbound.\u00a0 This new nonstop flight will shave nearly four hours off the typical travel time between the two cities.<\/p>\n<p>United&#8217;s Boeing 787 aircraft are configured with 219 seats \u2013 36 in United BusinessFirst and 183 in United Economy, including 70 United Economy Plus seats with added legroom.<\/p>\n<p>United&#8217;s\u00a0China\u00a0flights feature additional amenities and services designed for Chinese customers, including: Mandarin-speaking flight attendants; personalized in-flight entertainment options, including Chinese-language services; and a wide selection of in-flight meals and beverages, including Chinese-style cuisine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>United announced that it intends to use the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to operate service to\u00a0Chengdu, China 3 times a week.
