It was an amazing trip and I would love to go back – if I could go for free. \u00a0If you collect enough points and miles you can do just that. \u00a0So what is the best way to get to Hawaii for free? Credit card sign up bonuses can be a great way to save up for that big trip! \u00a0So here are some cards you might consider if you want to get to Hawaii for free (or for almost nothing.)<\/p>\n

First, Barclays (formerly Bank of America) came out with a new bonus offer today for their\u00a0Hawaiian Airlines\u00ae World Elite MasterCard\u00ae. \u00a0There is an $89 fee for the card, however, that can be recouped in other ways and I wouldn’t even mind paying $89 for a trip to Hawaii – would you?<\/p>\n

You can earn 35,000 HawaiianMiles after spending $1,000 on the card within 90 days. Once you are approved, you’ll receive a 50% companion discount for round-trip airfare between Hawaii and the lower 48 states.\u00a0HawaiianMiles credit card holders also receive a discount of 5,000 miles off round-trip award redemptions between North America and Hawaii. Additional benefits include a complimentary checked bag, no foreign transaction fees and priority check-in. There is, however, an $89 annual fee.<\/p>\n

Another card you might want to consider is the\u00a0Barclaycard Arrival\u2122 World MasterCard\u00ae. \u00a0This is a cash back credit card. \u00a0 There is an $89 annual fee, however, it’s waived for the first year.<\/p>\n

With this card you can earn\u00a040,000 miles after spending $3,000 within 90 days (worth approximately $440 towards the cost of travel with 10% discount on miles redemption and can be redeemed for hotels, rental cars, airfare and more). In addition, you’ll earn 2 miles per dollar spent, as well as a 10% discount when you redeem miles. \u00a0This is a good cash back credit card to add to your wallet.<\/p>\n

The cash back from this card could be used toward rental cars or meals or even entertainment\/activities in Hawaii!<\/p>\n

If you don’t have the\u00a0Starwood Preferred Guest\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Business Credit Card from American Express this is a good card to add to your wallet as well. \u00a0While this isn’t the best bonus offer out there, 25,000 Starpoints are very valuable and could be used in a lot of ways. \u00a0There is a $65 annual fee, however, it’s waived in the first year.<\/p>\n

With this card you can earn up to 25,000 in the first 6 months. You’ll earn 10,000 points after the first purchase and an additional 15,000 points after you spend $5000 in the first 6 months. \u00a0You could also combine this card with the personal Starwood Preferred Guest\u00ae Card from American Express<\/p>\n
