this lounge is pretty legendary, so i had to make it a point to visit before star alliance benefits end at the end of the month (since bmi is now oneworld), even if it meant trekking through the bowels of heathrow’s terminal 1. i haven’t had lounge access for very long, but this one easily takes the cake as the best one i’ve been in so far. real hot breakfast items (including “porridge”, which i expected a bit to be like gruel/oliver “please sir can i have some more”, but was really yummy) and honest-to-goodness friendly staff.
