and i found the concert documentary on youtube! i saw myself in there at least four times. ugh what a great concert.

the concert weekend continued yesterday with the 10 Jahre Grand Hotel van Cleef mini-festival: this ten-year anniversary concert had so many great bands from the indie (it’s been called the Hamburger Schule) scene. i fell in love with Kettcar many years ago when i was studying in Germany — specifically their song Landungsbrücken Raus, and thanks to a tip from a friend, found out that 2012 is a special year in Kettcar history, as it was ten years ago that the lead singer, Marcus Wiebusch, founded the record label Grand Hotel van Cleef with another famous musician from this indie scene, Thees Uhlmann from the band Tomte. to celebrate, they brought together their greatest for an 8+ hour shindig. and HOMG it was amazing. the best of German indie rock all in one place.
