This is how you access the Farther Caves. According to my LP you are supposed to get in via the Church of Conception of St. Ann but the entrance in what looked like a church said “for prayer only.” After hemming and hawing and looking up іконна павка in google translate (“iconic pavel”) I decided to just dive on in.
And yes, that’s how you enter–just go through the icon shop and continue down a long flight of stairs (sort of like the viaduct that connects you to the Nearer Caves) and you’ll get to the entrance.
