Instawalk: Revisiting Stadelhofen

when i first visited Zürich sixish years ago, i fell in love with the architecture of one of the local train stations, Stadelhofen. what i didn’t know at the time was that Santiago Calatrava, one of my favorite (if not the favorite) architects of all time, designed it (although now that i know more about him, it’s very clear that, even though this is an early work of his, many of his themes are starting to take literal shape).

so, now that i’m back in town for the Star Alliance Megado, i had to stop by for a quickie — of course, after trying (ok, more than trying, eating a whole box of 17) Luxemburgerli from Sprüngli.

They say your first Calatrava will always be your favorite. (Or whatever, but this is)
