Instawalk: Saigon Central Post Office

who would have thunk a post office (aka Bưu điện Trung tâm Sài Gòn) would be a tourist attraction, but it is, and rightfully so. designed by Gustave Eiffel (yes, that Eiffel) and constructed in the late 19th century, it still has a lot of that colonial uhh, charm. (can i say that? that there is something charming about colonizing another country?)

According to Google Translate, the plaque reads “monuments postal modern period of development” (well, you get the idea) (EDIT: someone has called it the “Development of the Modern Era” monument)
